Flat Stanley Explores the Amazon Rain Forest!

Once upon a time Flat Stanley explored the Amazon Rain Forest in South America. As he was exploring he suddenly saw a poisonous spider, he ran for his life. As he was running he found an airplane and went to Argentina.

He climbed the Andes Mountains. After he was done climbing the mountain he flew back to the Amazon Rain Forest and put on a wet suit and dove into the Amazon River.

He saw some huge fish; he even saw a school of Piranhas. He decided to get out of the water; he didn’t want to be fish bait. As he was walking through the rain forest, he saw a Tree Boa and got surrounded by giant snakes!

Flat Stanley decided he really didn’t like all the scary things in the rain forest so he decided to go home.

Stanley Surviving the Cold in Antarctica!

Flat Stanley was an explorer in Antarctica for one year. He explored the glaciers. It was so cold out that he had to wear snow pants, mittens, and a hat ALL the time. The coldest temperature was 128.6 degrees below zero!! If he had been there in the summer, the temperature would be 32 degrees above zero. Still cold.

Flat Stanley learned about glaciers. He found out that glaciers are super thick chunks of ice! He saw many penguins. The penguins spent most of their time in the water catching fish. He also saw seals. The seals keep holes open in the sea ice all year long.

Flat Stanley and Jackie Chan

Once upon a time, there was a flat boy, named Stanley. He was a friend of Jackie Chan. They were in the movies together in Asia. One day, Flat Stanley and Jackie decided they needed to take a vacation. They both went to the Great Wall of China. Flat Stanley was so amazed! It was so long. He climbed the wall. It took him such a long time, because he was small and flat. He got really tired! He decided to take a nap.

When Flat Stanley woke up he found himself on the highest mountain in the world. He was on Mount Everest. He wondered where Jackie Chan was? He figured that Jackie was at the bottom of the mountain. He decided to slide down the mountain; after all he was flat like a sled. It didn’t take him very long to get to the bottom of the mountain.

At the bottom of Mount Everest he saw his friend Jackie Chan. “Let’s go home!” said Flat Stanley. So, Jackie picked up Flat Stanley and put him in his pocket and went back home.

Flat Stanley in North America

Flat Stanley decided he wanted to take a tour of North America. He started at Niagara Falls. Flat Stanley decided to jump in the water. All the other people who wanted to jump in could just use Stanley as a raft. Flat Stanley got tired of being wet and decided to catch a plane to Arizona. He wanted to get warm and a suntan.

When Flat Stanley got to Arizona he climbed the Grand Canyon. He would have a huge adventure. The pilot gave Stanley his own tools for safety like a walkie talkie and a band aid. One pilot gave him some safety tips. Flat Stanley could climb with a mountain climbing rope and comfy boots.

Flat Stanley found a river he could swim in. He fell asleep and he was floating in the river and drifted to the ocean. He ended up on a Hawaiian beach. He rolled in the sand, he found crabs, and he found some nice cool rocks. He even had a Smoothie to drink. He brought a lawn chair to relax in. Kow-a-bunga! Stanley even went surfing. He surfed all the way home!

Stanley Goes to Europe

One morning Flat Stanley woke up in a box. Flat Stanley was flat so he wiggled out. He was in a plane. He noticed the plane was on autopilot. So he started to fly the plane. Suddenly, he saw an aircraft carrier. Flat Stanley decided to land on the carrier in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Two hours later Flat Stanley saw a shark swimming in the water. As Flat Stanley was leaning over the edge of the carrier, to get a better look at the shark, he fell off. The shark saw him, but instead of eating Flat Stanley, the shark gave him a ride. Suddenly a pod of killer whales surfaced.

One whale saw the shark, but when the shark saw the whale it was too late. The whale scared the shark. The shark swam off into the ocean. As the shark was swimming away, Flat Stanley fell off of the shark. Not to worry though, the whale gave Flat Stanley a ride. Then after a long time the whale and Flat Stanley ended up in Europe. Flat Stanley decided he would love to explore the continent, so he thanked the whale and set off on his journey.

The first thing Flat Stanley did was ride the Eurostar Train. He was amazed when he found out the Eurostar travels through 31 miles through the Channel Tunnel. He was hoping to see his friend Shark or Whale as he was traveling the 23 miles underwater. Flat Stanley was so excited to be traveling from London to Paris. When Flat Stanley got to Paris, he decided he had the time to visit the world famous Eiffel Tower. He even walked up the 1,320 steps all by himself.

After walking all those steps, he was tired and his feet were even flatter! He wanted to rest a bit so he went to the Stonehenge Gardens in Southern England. He learned that the stone structures where made of dirt, wood, and rocks. They were remodeled and changed over 1,400 years. Now, Flat Stanley was hot and thirsty, dirty too. He decided he needed to find some water to take a swim in and maybe even a bath.

He traveled to the city of Inverness in northern Scotland. He saw this huge lake that was 24 miles long, Loch Ness. As Flat Stanley was swimming, he had the weird feeling that he was being watched. He turned around and what did he see? He saw this HUGE creature that looked like a dinosaur in the water. It was wearing a name tag with the name Nessie around its long neck. Flat Stanley got a little scared; he didn’t want to be Nessie’s next meal so he quickly got out of the water and ran to the nearest airport. He then got on the next flight home.

The Adventures of Flat Stanley in Africa

Flat Stanley started in Superior, Wisconsin. He drove to the Minneapolis, Minnesota airport. It took 2 ½ hours to get to the airport. He got on the plane that was heading to Africa. When he got to his seat, People were looking at him funny. He said, “What are you looking at? Just because I am flat, doesn’t mean I am weird!” When Flat Stanley and the plane got over Egypt he parachuted out of the plane into the Sahara Desert.

He landed in the middle of the Sahara. It was so hot he almost burned his feet. He walked two miles and then he saw a camel. He was hot and thirsty. He was so happy to see a camel. He rode the camel to a pyramid.

When he went in the pyramid he saw a mummy’s tomb. He opened the tomb and saw a scary looking mummy! He screamed as loud as he could. Stanley was so scared he ran five miles and found an elephant.

He got on the elephant and rode to the Nile River. He got off the elephant and onto the boat and there he went! There was a sharp turn in the river and the boat tipped just enough to knock Stanley over board. He fell off the boat and got full of water. The water went into his ears and mouth. He blew up like a balloon and was not flat anymore. Flat Stanley decided he had enough of an adventure in Africa and he went home!
