Baudette, Minnesota

Flat Stanley is going to visit Baudette Minnesota. The weather is 26 degrees. I want Stanley to see Willie the Walleye. I want him to see it because I saw it when I went there. My Grandpa’s name is Willie. But his last name is not walleye. Flat Stanley could also go deer hunting if it were October. Or he could go hiking on 11 miles of trails in the Zippel Bay State Park. Stanley will have lots of fun in Baudette, Minnesota.

Flat Stanley Visits Baudette, Minnesota

Flat Stanley went to visit my grandma and grandpa in Baudette, Minnesota. Baudette is in Northern Minnesota on the Canadian border. While he was in Baudette, the walleye capital of the world, Flat Stanley went to see Willie the Walleye. Willie the Walleye is a statue of the HUGE walleye! Flat Stanley was really small compared to Willie.

Baudette is a huge tourist town. People who like to fish and hunt go there. Flat Stanley even went fishing while he was visiting. He was a little sad because he didn’t catch anything, he had a fish bite, but he was so excited he jumped up and down and yelled and he forgot to set his hook. But he had fun!

Flat Stanley even went to a different country while he was visiting. He went to a little town called Rainy River in Canada. He visited a lot of Grandma’s friends there.

Flat Stanley told me he hopes he can visit later in the spring. In the spring a bunch of pelicans go to Baudette. They come down the Wabanica Creek. Flat Stanley had fun in Minnesota!
